Spend 31 billion VND to take care of Tet
Briefly reporting on the situation of the Lunar New Year At Ty, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province Pham Van Thieu assessed: With efforts and responsibility, the entire political system has been united and well prepared for the conditions for people to celebrate Tet happily, healthily, safely and economically.
During Tet, the province organized visits and presented gifts to more than 20,000 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, policy beneficiaries, meritorious people, 100% of poor and near-poor households with a total cost of over 31 billion VND. Notably, Bac Lieu people also received attention and hundreds of Tet gifts from Central leaders.
Most of the activities to celebrate the Party and celebrate Spring were practical and suitable to the actual situation of the locality and unit, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere for all cadres and people to welcome the New Year with a spirit of solidarity, thrift and imbued with national cultural identity. The work of ensuring supply and demand of goods and stabilizing market prices was quite proactive.
The total reserve of essential goods is about 177 billion VND, meeting the market demand quite well, so there is no shortage of goods, speculation, hoarding, causing price fever, arbitrary price hike affecting people's lives. The work of transportation, communication, traffic safety, maintaining security and order in the area during Tet is also proactively implemented by sectors and levels in the province with drastic solutions. Sprint, Breakthrough for 2025
Deploying the tasks of the first quarter, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee has requested all sectors and levels to urgently accelerate and make breakthroughs to achieve and exceed the targets, goals and tasks of their localities and units. Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee Lu Van Hung emphasized that 2025 is of special importance because it is the final year to implement the Resolution of the 16th Provincial Party Congress and prepare for the organization of Party Congresses at all levels for the new term. Therefore, it is recommended that all levels and sectors must be proactive and urgent right from the first day of the year, right from the first quarter; must have high political determination, creativity, unity of heart and mind, and determination in leadership, direction, management and effective implementation of key tasks such as: resolutely implementing solutions to achieve an economic growth rate of 8-9% or higher and completing the highest targets and tasks of socio-economic development in 2025.
Urgently reorganize the apparatus in the province's political system to be streamlined, operate effectively and efficiently, associated with restructuring and improving the quality of the team of cadres, civil servants and public employees with sufficient qualities and capacity, equal to the tasks, meeting the requirements in the coming time.
Also at the conference, comrade Ho Thanh Thuy - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board - announced the Decision of the Central Party Secretariat on personnel work. Accordingly, the Secretariat agreed to allow comrade Bui Quoc Nam - Director of the Department of Health - to cease participating in the Provincial Party Executive Committee, term 2020-2025. At the same time, implementing the decision of the Central Party Secretariat on appointing comrades Colonel Chau Quoc Huy, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police; Hoang Phuong Thao, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Board to participate in the Provincial Party Executive Committee, term 2020-2025.
