On July 30, a representative of the Doai Duong Commune Party Committee informed that the landslide occurred at around 12pm, when a rock from the mountain rolled down and hit the fence of Trung Phuc Kindergarten (old Trung Phuc Commune, now in Tan Lap Hamlet, Doai Duong Commune).
Fortunately, there were no human casualties, the fence and classroom wall of the school was punctured in one piece and some cracks appeared.
"This morning, the commune sent officers to set up a inspection team to go up the mountain, the team discovered that the location of the rock that had collapsed and rolled down was an orphan stone, quite large in size. The brothers are also continuing to monitor to assess possible risks, and at the same time, making reports to the authorities" - a representative of the Doai Duong Commune Party Committee informed.
In addition, last night, in Doai Duong commune, thunder and tornadoes occurred, causing the roofs of some households to be blown off. Currently, the commune authorities and people are also working to overcome and clean up after the natural disaster.
