On April 11, the authorities of Bao Lam district issued a warning at the location where a landslide occurred at the beginning of Pac Mieu town (opposite Nam Quang hydropower plant) on April 8. Currently, cracked rocks continue to appear, with a high risk of landslides.
Local authorities recommend that people be vigilant and pay attention when traveling through the above road section. According to the information that the reporter has received, local authorities are urgently developing a handling plan to ensure the safety of people when traveling through this location.

Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, on the morning of April 8, in the area of Pac Mieu town (opposite Nam Quang hydropower plant), a landslide occurred suddenly, a large amount of rock fell from a high mountain onto the surface of National Highway 34.
"The time the rock fell was still early, so fortunately no one or vehicle was hit by the rock" - Ms. Nong Thi Phuong said.
At the scene of dozens of large and small stones blocking the national highway, vehicles could not move through. After the incident, the authorities mobilized people and vehicles to handle and resume traffic.

However, after the incident, some rocks above continue to crack, with the risk of falling at any time.
Speaking with reporters, Mr. Ma Gia Hanh - Chairman of Bao Lam District People's Committee - said: "The district has sent a document to the Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee, and at the same time requested the province to establish a professional team to inspect and specifically evaluate".

According to the reporter's research, National Highway 34 is a vital route connecting Cao Bang with Ha Giang, passing through 6 districts and cities of the two localities. The starting point of the route is in Cao Bang city, intersecting with National Highway 4A and National Highway 2, and ending at Tran Phu ward, Ha Giang city.
This route is one of the traffic artery connecting Bao Lam and Bao Lac districts with the administrative center of Cao Bang province. The possibility of landslides recurring is causing many people to worry.
