On August 1st, the Da Nang City Construction Association coordinated to organize a thematic workshop "Building materials in the digital age and the application of some new building materials in construction".

In the context of digital transformation, green development and increasingly high requirements for quality, safety, and energy saving, building materials need to be researched, selected and managed effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
Therefore, updating technology, sharing research results and promoting the application of new materials are practical requirements for the construction industry today.

At the workshop, speakers focused on reporting on four topics including: building materials in the digital age, BIM/IFC, traceability and data responsibility; solidified materials from dredged mud and reusability in infrastructure construction; safe and energy-saving glass materials in modern construction; new waterproofing materials for construction.

Through presentations and exchanges, the workshop clarifies the scientific basis, application standards, verification capacity and actual implementation conditions. At the same time, the event is an opportunity to strengthen connections between management agencies, scientists, training institutions and businesses.
The organizers expect that the contents shared at the workshop will contribute to improving the efficiency of applying new building materials. Meeting the requirements of sustainable development, ensuring quality and safety for projects in the digital transformation phase.
