On March 17, according to a report from the assisting group of the City Election Committee, the entire area had 2,058,848 voters participating in voting for the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council (HĐND) deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term out of a total of 2,060,459 people on the list, reaching a rate of 99.92%.
In 5 parliamentary constituencies, voters elected enough 14 deputies from 24 candidates.
For the election of delegates to the 11th City People's Council, 76 delegates were elected out of 125 candidates in 23 constituencies. At the commune level, the number of elected delegates was 1,907 out of 3,121 candidates in 628 constituencies.
No unit in the whole city has to organize re-elections or additional elections.
Preparation work at 1,784 polling stations was carried out in accordance with regulations on listing voters' lists, biographies of candidates and voting room regulations.
The City Election Commission provided ballots, ballot boxes and related documents to 1,784 constituencies before the opening ceremony. The constituencies ended the voting time at 7 pm on the same day to carry out the vote counting process.
Assessing this result, Mr. Nguyen Duc Dung, Chairman of Da Nang City People's Council, Chairman of the City Election Committee, said that localities have selected delegates who meet the standards of ethics, capacity and vision to meet the aspirations of voters.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Dung emphasized that the election will take place in the right direction, ensuring democracy and discipline. After completing the vote counting, the City Election Committee will announce the list of winning candidates on March 21 and is expected to hold the first meeting of the City People's Council before March 31 to elect key positions.
The political security situation, social order and safety, transport infrastructure and communication systems were maintained throughout the election process.
