On the morning of October 22, the authorities mobilized materials and mechanical means to build temporary embankments, prevent waves from attacking, and protect coastal residential areas in Hoi An Tay ward.
Previously, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Tran Nam Hung requested the Quang Nam Construction Investment Project Management Board to coordinate with the locality to promptly overcome the landslide situation, ensuring safety for the people.
Departments, branches and localities are assigned to preside over working with coastal businesses, deploy urgent solutions to reinforce landslide areas, prepare human resources and materials, especially raw stone to complete anti-erosion projects before the rainy and stormy season.
Previously, many sections of Hoi An Tay coast were hit by strong waves, eating 4-8m deep into the shore, damaging shops and uprooted trees. Local authorities call on people and businesses to join hands to protect the coast and respond safely to storm No. 12.
