Information from the People's Committee of Da Nang City on October 21, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Tran Nam Hung has just requested the Quang Nam Construction Investment Project Management Board to urgently coordinate with the People's Committee of Hoi An Tay Ward to soon find solutions to overcome the coastal landslide situation.
In particular, there should be immediate and long-term solutions to protect Hoi An coast, while combating erosion increasingly seriously.
Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Tran Nam Hung assigned the Quang Nam Construction Investment Project Management Board to focus on directing contractors and construction units to urgently prepare all conditions for human resources, materials, especially raw stone to complete the Hoi An Coastal Anti-Erdosion and Sustainable Protection Project before August 30, 2026.

At the same time, it is required that Departments, branches, sectors and localities urgently preside over and work with owners of restaurants and accommodation establishments to immediately deploy urgent solutions to prevent the current coastal erosion.
Previously reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, the coastal area of Hoi An Tay Ward (Da Nang) has been continuously eroded by serious landslides in recent times. Notably, the landslides have eaten deep inside, affecting the facilities of businesses and restaurants along the coast.
In order to respond to this situation in the short term, the local government, businesses and people have used sandbags combined with bamboo stakes to prevent landslides. However, through storms and floods, this solution has not brought long-term results.
