On March 24, information from Da Nang City People's Committee said that Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Nam Hung has just requested relevant agencies and units to urgently review the list of projects to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, prioritizing projects that are urgent and directly affect people's lives.

Accordingly, the Department of Agriculture and Environment is assigned to preside over and coordinate with departments, branches and localities to review the entire list of projects to be implemented. The proposal must ensure the right focus, focusing on areas heavily affected by natural disasters, which are at risk of greatly affecting the safety and livelihoods of people.
City leaders requested to accelerate the progress of completing dossiers and procedures to soon submit them to competent authorities for consideration and approval. In parallel, relevant units need to proactively prepare necessary conditions to implement immediately when the project is approved, ensuring progress, quality and investment efficiency.
According to the report, the list of proposals for support from the central budget focuses on a number of urgent projects, including: emergency remediation of the Thu Bon river protection embankment in An Luong area (Duy Nghia commune) and the Hoi An coastal erosion prevention embankment, with a total estimated cost of about 510 billion VND.
In addition, the locality also proposed to invest in building new resettlement areas to serve the relocation of people out of landslide-prone areas in the communes: Tay Giang, Dak Pring, Nam Tra My, Dong Giang, Tra Van, Tra Leng, Que Phuoc, Nam Giang, Tra Tap, Avương and Hung Son. The total estimated cost for these projects is about 367.3 billion VND.
