The Steering Committee is headed by the leaders of the Da Nang People's Committee; Deputy Heads of the Steering Committee include leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the City Border Guard Command; Members of the Steering Committee include representatives of leaders of agencies, units and localities with seafood exploitation.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment is the standing agency of the Steering Committee, responsible for ensuring the working conditions of the Steering Committee, responsible for closely coordinating, monitoring, supervising, and evaluating the implementation results of combating IUU fishing of Departments, branches, and localities; periodically or suddenly synthesizing and developing reports on the implementation results of combating IUU fishing to the Head of the Steering Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City for monitoring and direction.
The Steering Committee has the function of directing and coordinating the resolution of important, inter-sectoral tasks under the authority of the City People's Committee related to the work of combating illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing (anti-IUU fishing).
Direct, urge and coordinate with departments, branches and localities to deploy and implement the fight against IUU fishing according to the direction of the Government, ministries, branches and the National Steering Committee on combating IUU fishing.
