On July 6, Da Nang City People's Committee approved an investment project to build a public park in the area to recover part of Hon Ngoc A Chau coastal tourist area (Ngu Hanh Son ward). The project uses city budget capital to strengthen public space and sea access for people.
The project is implemented on land recovered from a part of the area of Hon Ngoc A Chau Coastal Tourist Area previously. With a total investment of more than 47 billion VND from the city budget, the project is invested and managed by the Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Civil, Industrial and Technical Infrastructure Works of Da Nang. The expected implementation period is from 2025 to 2027.
The main objective of the project is to form a convenient public space, meeting the needs of people and tourists to access the beach, play, entertain and exercise. At the same time, this project also aims to complete and synchronously connect the technical infrastructure system in the coastal area of Ngu Hanh Son district.
To best serve the community, the park is designed to integrate many diverse functional areas. The landscape space will include a system of green trees, walking paths, courtyards, outdoor gyms and a playground exclusively for children. In addition, the project also arranges a picnic area, sea square and space for outdoor events, creating highlights for community cultural activities in this area.
In order to ensure convenience for people when coming to play and swim, the project also focuses on synchronously investing in auxiliary infrastructure. Static traffic systems including parking lots and parking bays will be built to reduce traffic pressure. In particular, the beach service area will be fully equipped with public toilets, freshwater bathing areas, dressing rooms and storage rooms. The design of the park also shows humanity when arranging walkways and steps down to the sea combined with dedicated slopes to support people with disabilities to move conveniently.
