In the early days of July, at the Pho Rang lake technical infrastructure project construction site, Bao Yen commune, the construction atmosphere was urgent. Many excavators, trucks and workers were mobilized to simultaneously deploy items such as building embankments, chiseling rocks...
The project has a total investment of more than 126.6 billion VND, implemented on an area of about 12.51ha, of which the lake is more than 8.31ha wide.

The project includes items such as embankments protecting the lake, renovating the lakebed, canals separating the flow, regulating culverts, traffic roads around the lake and auxiliary works. The project is implemented in the period 2023 - 2026.
According to the Construction Investment Project Management Board of Bao Yen commune, so far the lake dredging work has reached over 70% of the volume. The construction unit has also completed the gravity stone wall at the beginning of the canal separating the flow and about 540m of the canal separating the flow.
Currently, construction teams are focusing on completing the sloping embankment on both sides of the lake, regulating culverts, sand discharge culverts, concrete bridges and roads around the lake to ensure progress before the rainy and flood season.

Mr. Dao Duc Duy - Construction site commander said that the unit is mobilizing 5 excavators, 3 trucks and about 30 workers to construct many items at the same time.
According to Mr. Duy, the canal separating the stream and the left bank embankment are being accelerated to complete soon. However, the sidewalk embankment on the right bank has not yet been deployed due to site clearance issues.
In addition, the construction process of the road around the lake generated additional volume due to having to drill through rocks to open the road, making implementation more difficult.
The unit is coordinating with the investor and local authorities to remove site obstacles, and will continue to supplement machinery and equipment when necessary to ensure progress," Mr. Duy said.

In parallel with construction, the locality also focuses on solving existing problems in site clearance work.
Mr. Trinh Tien Duat - Vice Chairman of Bao Yen Commune People's Committee said: "The locality requires contractors to focus manpower and machinery to construct key items before the rainy and flood season.
When completed, Pho Rang Lake is expected to contribute to regulating water sources, reducing the risk of flooding, improving the ecological environment, and creating landscape highlights, embellishing the central area of Bao Yen commune and opening up land funds to serve urban development in the coming time.
