According to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, Director of Da Nang University, the demand for high-quality human resources in the fields of information technology, tourism, healthcare, logistics, as well as high-tech fields such as semiconductor chips, artificial intelligence and financial technology is increasing. Requiring human resources to develop not only in quantity but also in quality, professional qualifications, experience and the ability to adapt to new technologies.
However, reality shows that high-quality human resources in these fields are still very scarce. This shortage is especially serious in senior management positions, bridge engineers, and experts in high-tech fields. Domestic training has not met market demand, while attracting foreign experts is also facing many difficulties due to complicated policies and procedures. This creates a big challenge for Da Nang in implementing economic development goals, building a financial center and a free trade zone.
To overcome this challenge, Da Nang needs to have breakthrough policies in attracting and training high-quality human resources, creating an attractive and competitive working environment to retain talent, contributing to the sustainable development of the city. Investing in education, training and close connection between universities, research institutes and businesses is a key factor to solve this difficult problem.

At the scientific seminar with the theme "Tasks and solutions for developing high quality human resources to meet the requirements of city development in the new era" on May 20, Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee, said that with the goal of development and an important role in the North Central and Central Coast and the whole country, Da Nang is facing new requirements. It requires highly qualified human resources, innovative, creative thinking capacity, and have the ability to adapt flexibly with rapid movements of the times.
Therefore, developing high-quality human resources is no longer an option, but an urgent task, a foundational driving force to develop the city quickly, sustainably, with its own identity, adapting to the trend of globalization and green transformation, digital transformation.
Developing high-quality human resources is not only in quantity but also in depth of intelligence, integration skills and technological adaptation are identified as a continuous task, a strategic breakthrough of the city. In particular, in addition to promoting the role of intellectuals, experts, and scientists in the city - those who have a direct and important role in leading the city's transformation in the new era, the city hopes to attract, connect, and form a network of domestic and international experts and scientists to support the city's development," said Mr. Le Trung Chinh.
