Difficulty in retaining human resources in the health sector in Da Nang

The salary policy is not commensurate, the workload is increasing, and is often overloaded, leading to difficulty in attracting and retaining human resources in the Da Nang health sector.

According to the Da Nang Department of Health, in addition to the city's support policies, the health sector has also been very proactive, implementing many measures to ensure human resources for medical examination and treatment. However, there are still many difficulties in terms of human resources. Currently, the salary policy is not commensurate with the workload, the pressure of work is increasing, and it is often overloaded, making it difficult to attract and retain human resources. Especially high-quality human resources.

The budget for training and development activities of public service units is all taken from the budget of the units. Meanwhile, the price of medical examination and treatment services has not been fully structured, including training and development costs. Training and development work in the direction of individuals and units paying for themselves is a difficulty when the units are gradually implementing financial autonomy. This leads to the low rate of annual training in the health sector.

Currently, the Da Nang Department of Health is continuing to advise competent authorities to pay attention to resolving the issue so that the health sector can ensure human resources to serve the work of medical examination and treatment and health care for the people.
