This force is operating in hospitals, social assistance facilities, schools and communities, contributing to supporting vulnerable people, connecting services and reducing pressure on the management system.
The city has implemented many policies to care for people with meritorious services. More than 153,000 turns of people have been granted preferential treatment benefits. Nurturing, nursing, and health recovery work continues to be maintained with thousands of beneficiaries. In the field of labor - employment, supply-demand connection programs and capital support are promoted. The labor force reaches over 1.5 million people, the trained rate reaches 73%.
In the fields of health and education, 100% of medical facilities have social work departments. Each year, nearly 300,000 patients are supported. School psychological counseling activities are also effectively implemented, contributing to stabilizing students' spiritual lives.
Speaking at the event, leaders of Da Nang City People's Committee acknowledged the results achieved after 10 years. Social work associated with the "5 no", "3 yes", "4 an" programs contributes to maintaining social security. However, this field still has limitations in resources and synchronization before the pressure of urbanization and population aging.
Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee - Phan Thai Binh said that in the coming time, Da Nang will identify social work as the pillar of the social security system. The city will improve policies in a comprehensive direction, develop a network of services in key areas, and standardize the human resources team.
Along with that is promoting socialization, mobilizing resources, applying technology and raising community awareness. Social work continues to be oriented towards professional and sustainable development.
On this occasion, many collectives and individuals were commended; scholarships were awarded to support disadvantaged students
