According to a report from the Team for Repatriating Martyrs' Remains (Ho Chi Minh City Command), on July 18, the entire Team continued to concentrate troops, urgently deploying excavation and search work in the Le Thi Rieng Park area. Through careful work, functional forces discovered and exhumed 4 sets of martyrs' remains and some accompanying artifacts.
Thus, as of the end of July 18, the total number exhumed at the scene has increased to 100 sets of martyrs' remains and 2 sets of collective martyrs' remains.
The search work is still being maintained continuously by the forces. The working groups closely coordinate between manual excavation, peeling off each layer of soil, inspecting the scene and handling the remaining traces. All tasks are carried out in a spirit of urgency but always put the requirement of accuracy first to ensure absolute solemnity for heroic martyrs.
