On January 8, in Phuoc Thang ward (Ho Chi Minh City), the Command of Coast Guard Region 3 organized a Conference to hand over the responsibilities and tasks of the Region Commander according to the decision of the Minister of National Defense.

In which, Major General Ngo Binh Minh - Commander of Coast Guard Region 3 - was transferred and appointed to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Institute of Strategy and History of National Defense of Vietnam.
Colonel Tran Xuan Luong - Deputy Chief of Staff of the Vietnam Coast Guard - was appointed to the position of Commander of Coast Guard Region 3.

At the conference, representatives of the Coast Guard Region 3 Command reported on the content of handing over the responsibilities and tasks of the Region Commander; approved the handover minutes in accordance with regulations. After listening to the report and speeches, Major General Le Dinh Cuong - Commander of the Vietnam Coast Guard - agreed with the handover contents.
Major General Le Dinh Cuong also acknowledged and praised the outstanding results and achievements that Coast Guard Region 3 Command has achieved in the past time, including the important contribution of Major General Ngo Binh Minh to the process of building and developing the Vietnam Coast Guard force.

The Commander of the Vietnam Coast Guard requested that, in his new position, Major General Ngo Binh Minh continue to promote political bravery, intelligence, leadership capacity, and practical experience to successfully complete assigned responsibilities and tasks.
At the same time, requesting the new Commander of Coast Guard Region 3 to quickly grasp the task situation, promote the spirit of responsibility, firm political bravery, and work with the collective to build a comprehensively strong Region Command; successfully complete all assigned tasks, contributing to maintaining the sovereignty, security, and safety of the southern sea and islands of the Fatherland.
