On July 13, Mr. Pham Huy Van - Deputy Director of Dak Lak Department of Education and Training - affirmed that the information spread on social networks about a male student of Phan Chu Trinh High School No. 1 (Ea Drang commune) using a phone in the exam room is completely untrue.
Previously, on July 10, a social media account posted an article accusing male student D. of using a phone and artificial intelligence (AI) to solve questions in the English exam of the 2026 high school graduation exam. This content quickly spread, attracting attention and causing public stir.
According to Mr. Pham Huy Van, immediately after the article was published, the male student's family reported to the police agency, requesting verification and clarification of the incident. After that, the person who posted the denunciation content took the initiative to remove the article and apologize.
In case abnormal signs are detected during the exam, students need to report directly to the Department of Education and Training or functional agencies for verification and handling, instead of posting unverified information on social networks, causing public confusion," Mr. Van emphasized.
Regarding the incident, Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Thu - Principal of Phan Chu Trinh High School No. 1 - said that the information spread on social networks is just speculation, without basis.
According to Ms. Thu, male student D. has good academic performance, the average score of English in grade 12 is 8.5. Therefore, his achievement of 9.75 points in English in the 2026 high school graduation exam is completely consistent with his ability and there is nothing surprising.
