Dak Lak removes each bottleneck, removing obstacles for dozens of slow site clearance projects

Dak Lak - The province is reviewing and removing each "bottleneck" in site clearance and requesting investors to accelerate progress, not to let the project continue to be stalled.

On September 6, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee informed that the whole province currently has 21 projects with a site clearance rate of less than 90%. These projects have been classified so that investors can continue to focus on handling and removing existing difficulties and obstacles.

Among these, many projects and routes have been backlogged for many years, encountering many difficulties in the implementation process such as the Lắk Lake tourist center infrastructure project, Ama Jhao extended road, Tôn Đức Thắng road, Ia M'rơ lake canal phase 2...

Over the past time, the Task Forces have directly reviewed and broken down each "bottleneck", focusing on removing issues related to legal issues, procedures and compensation, support, and resettlement work. As a result, some projects have had clear changes.

Regarding the Ton Duc Thang road project, in 2021, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee approved the project including the section from Nguyen Dinh Chieu street to Tran Khanh Du street and the section from Phan Trong Tue street to Le Quy Don street, with a total investment of more than 565 billion VND, about 1.2 km long.

By 2022, the locality continued to approve the Ton Duc Thang extended road project, the section from Dong Khoi road to the 3.2 ha infrastructure construction area, Tan An ward, with a total investment of more than 34 billion VND, about 1 km long.

To date, the compensation, support, and resettlement plan has been approved for all 127 affected households and 5 organizations. The total implementation cost in Buon Ma Thuot ward is more than 54.65 billion VND, and in Tan An ward is nearly 100 billion VND.

However, the site clearance process still has some households that have not agreed and have not handed over the site to implement the project.

Representatives of the Buon Ma Thuot Construction Investment Project Management Board said that in parallel with site clearance, the investor and contractors are making efforts to deploy construction, striving to complete the entire project by the end of 2026.

Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Do Huu Huy requested relevant units from now until the end of the year to focus and make efforts to resolve site clearance for projects that have been delayed for many years.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested all levels and sectors to continue to maintain a method of working closely to work, closely to grassroots levels; regularly hold meetings, inspect, and urge, absolutely not to let the situation of delay, avoidance or shirking responsibility reoccur.

For slow projects, provincial leaders requested the People's Committees of communes and wards to closely coordinate with investors, review and dissect each land plot, each specific case, clearly identify the causes and obstacles to have a plan to handle them thoroughly.

Through this, the province strives to accelerate the progress of site clearance, creating conditions for projects to soon be implemented synchronously, promote investment efficiency, contribute to completing the infrastructure system and promoting socio-economic development in the area.
