Dak Lak - The province is shifting its cybersecurity thinking from "protecting the system" to "protecting people", taking the safety and peace of the people as a measure.

On August 6, the Dak Lak Provincial Cyber Security Sub-committee organized a rally to launch the response to "Vietnam Cyber Security Day 2026" with the message "For a humane cyberspace for everyone".

Attending the ceremony were Ms. Ho Thi Nguyen Thao - Standing Vice Chairwoman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee; Major General Phan Thanh Tam - Director of the Provincial Police; along with representatives of leaders of departments, agencies, branches, technology and telecommunications enterprises and more than 200 union members and youth in the province.

Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee presented a video clip of the first network security assurance drill in 2026. The video content reflects the current situation and risks of network security loss, and introduces proactive plans for preventing, detecting and handling network security incidents in the province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Ho Thi Nguyen Thao - Standing Vice Chairwoman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee emphasized that digital transformation is an inevitable trend, creating a new development space for socio-economics. However, along with the opportunities, the digital transformation process also poses many challenges in ensuring information security and network security.

Therefore, network security protection work needs to strongly shift thinking from "protecting the system" to "protecting people", taking the safety and peace of the People as the highest measure. Levels and sectors need to ensure that all people can access and use cyberspace safely, without leaving anyone behind in the digital age.

Responding to the launch, leaders of Dak Lak Provincial Police determined to focus on deploying 3 key task groups.

First, strongly shift from passive response to proactive early and remote prevention; improve the capacity to forecast, identify and handle network security risks and incidents.

Second, proactively advise on completing the legal corridor, removing bottlenecks in mechanisms and policies, creating favorable conditions for the digital transformation process associated with ensuring information security and safety.

Third, strengthen links between the State, businesses and people in data protection, ensuring security in cyberspace; and proactively detect, combat, and dismantle high-tech crime lines and groups to commit illegal acts.
