On October 24, Mr. Le Dinh Minh - Deputy Director of the Department of Transport of Dak Lak province said that from October 24, 2024, the reception of documents and administrative procedures related to the issuance, renewal and re-issuance of driving licenses will be carried out according to the needs of the people.
"At the conclusion of the meeting on October 21, the Vietnam Road Administration will provide additional driver's license stamps to the Department of Transport of provinces in need.
Therefore, the organization of driving tests and issuance of new driving licenses continues to be implemented as planned, there is no change so local people can rest assured" - Mr. Minh added.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that on October 15, the Department of Transport of Dak Lak province temporarily stopped handling administrative procedures related to the issuance, re-issuance and renewal of driving licenses.
The reason is that the number of remaining driver's license blanks is not enough to issue, renew, and reissue according to people's needs.
The unit will also suspend the remaining driving license exams in October 2024. Driving license exams in October will be arranged in the following months of 2024.
The Department of Transport also temporarily stopped receiving documents related to procedures for changing motorcycle driving licenses (A1) from paper to PET.
