On the morning of January 12, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee held a ceremony to summarize and see off the Army forces who completed their tasks of participating in the "Quang Trung Campaign" to support the construction and repair of houses for households affected by natural disasters in the Central and Central Highlands provinces.
With the role of a core force, directly supporting human resources, units under Military Region 5 and the Ministry of National Defense have mobilized more than 400,000 turns of officers and soldiers to participate in the campaign.
Throughout the deployment period, the army force worked with a spirit of urgency, decisiveness, "3 shifts, 4 teams", working day and night, including holidays, holidays, Tet, in order to soon help people in disaster areas stabilize their lives.
As a result, the Quang Trung Campaign has completed the construction and repair of 610 houses for households affected by natural disasters in Dak Lak, Gia Lai and Khanh Hoa provinces, ensuring progress, quality and safety.
Solid roofs were completed in time before the new Spring, contributing to dispelling the difficulties and worries of people after natural disasters.
Speaking at the send-off ceremony, Colonel Cao Van Muoi - Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 5 emphasized that throughout the campaign deployment process, the image of soldiers of Military Region 5 and units under the Ministry of National Defense side by side with Party committees, local authorities and people has left a deep impression.
Those are images of officers and soldiers wading through mud, rebuilding each roof, repairing each wall, transporting each bag of materials; are hasty meals at the construction site, working days overnight, during holidays, Tet.
Each completed house not only carries material value, but is also a vivid symbol of faith, of strong military-civilian solidarity, the warmth of compatriotism, profoundly affirming the truth: "Wherever people encounter difficulties, there are soldiers.
The "Quang Trung Campaign" is assessed as a continuation and spread of the good traditions of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers" in peacetime, clearly showing the strength of the great national unity bloc, the synchronous involvement of the entire political system and the People.
The campaign not only helps people in disaster-stricken areas have more warm and fulfilling Tet, but also sows hope, adding motivation for people to firmly overcome difficulties and build a future life.
Although the campaign has closed, the solid homes, the humane gestures and especially the close and close military-civilian relationship will remain for a long time in the hearts of the People. That is also the biggest and most meaningful "victory" of the "Quang Trung Campaign".
On this occasion, the Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 60 collectives and 350 individuals with outstanding achievements in the process of deploying and implementing the "Quang Trung Campaign" in the province.
