On November 26, the Economic - Budget Committee of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Council held a meeting to review reports, submissions, and draft resolutions submitted to the 9th Session of the 6th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026.
At the meeting, delegates focused on evaluating, analyzing and giving comments on the report on the implementation of the 2024 socio-economic development plan and the 2025 socio-economic development plan submitted by the Provincial People's Committee.
According to the report of the Provincial People's Committee, in 2024, the province's socio-economic situation will continue to remain stable.
Of the 11 socio-economic target groups, Dak Nong is expected to complete and exceed the plan for 8 groups, the remaining 3 target groups have not reached the plan but have had good growth.
According to the report, although economic growth and public investment disbursement have not met the plan, through monitoring by the Central agency, Dak Nong province is assessed to have the second highest GRDP growth in the Central Highlands region. The rate of public investment disbursement ranks first in the Central Highlands region and 27th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide.
The manufacturing sectors and fields have positive points. The industrial production index, although not reaching the set plan, has increased compared to the same period last year. Agricultural production has advantages thanks to the high prices of some key agricultural products.
Especially coffee, durian and livestock expansion, Sector I has made significant contributions to the scale and growth of GRDP in recent times.
