As of 4:00 p.m. on October 1, the flooded areas in the Nhue River basin include: Thang Long Avenue (underpass No. 5, 6, Km9+656), the intersection of General Department V, Cau Buu, Trieu Khuc, Duong Dinh Nghe - Nam Trung Yen, Phan Van Truong, Resco Urban Area, Vo Chi Cong ( UDIC building)...
Long Bien basin: Hoang Nhu Tiep, Co Linh, Ngoc Lam.
In addition, the water level of rivers and lakes in the inner city is still at a high level. As of 4:00 p.m., the water level in To Lich River (Hoang Quoc Viet) was 5.14 m; West Lake 6.25 m; Hoan Kiem Lake 8.00 m (exceeding the controlled water level by 7.70 m).
Hanoi Drainage Company said it has mobilized maximum forces and vehicles to be on duty at flooded areas and coordinated to support people and authorities to move through flooded areas.
The unit has opened Thanh Liet dam to support drainage for the Nhue River; properly operate the main pumping stations on the system. Yen So pumping station operates at 100% capacity (20/20 pumps), along with 100% of the capacity of pumping stations: Cau Buu, Dong Bong 1, Dong Bong 2, Co Nhue, Da Sy... to quickly lower the water level on the system.
The blast gates are operated according to procedures, ensuring traffic safety in low-lying areas.
Regarding the work of ensuring the operation of the drainage system, from the early morning of October 1, the Company has deployed on-duty, water drainage solutions, garbage collection at collection points throughout the management area, opened the floodgates of regulating lakes and operated the maximum capacity of the pumping stations to lower the water level on the system in accordance with regulations.
According to the forecast of the Northern Hydrometeorological Station, in the afternoon and night of October 1, Hanoi will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, Hanoi Drainage Company will continue to closely monitor weather developments, arrange forces to closely follow the scene, and handle flooding in a timely manner.
