According to the Road Administration, from Hanoi to Ca Mau until the April 30th - May 1st holiday of 2026, there are 21 rest stops and stops with essential public service works put into operation, with an average distance of about 100km/station.

The Road Administration said that for rest stops that have been put into operation.
On the expressway from Hanoi to Can Tho, there are currently 5 rest stops in operation and exploitation: Gie - Ninh Binh station (VEC station), Cao Bo - Mai Son (Xuan Khiem left route, Xuan Cuong right route), La Son - Hoa Lien (left route), Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay, Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong. In addition, there is also 01 stop on the Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway that has been put into use. These rest stops and bus stops are serving well the needs of people and vehicles circulating on the expressway.
For currently invested rest stops: The Road Administration has completed the selection of Investors and signed contracts for 21/21 rest stops.
Investors are urgently completing investment procedures and deploying construction on the site according to the contract schedule, striving to basically complete rest stops in 2026.
To ensure traffic order and safety, and create favorable conditions for people to travel during the holidays of January 30 - May 1, 2026 during the time of investing in rest stops, the Department provides information on the location of rest stops, temporary stops, intersections in and out of the expressway, and nearby services (including gas stations...) of the component projects of the North - South expressway in the East and routes connecting to the expressway.
In addition to rest stops, there are also intersections in and out of the expressway, routes connecting nearby services (including gas stations, food services...) basically meeting the needs of people and vehicles circulating on the expressway.
