On the morning of April 27, information from the Traffic Safety Committee of Vinh Phuc province said that the unit is coordinating with the authorities to visit and encourage the victims' families.
Up to now, 4 people have died in the passenger bus that was traveling from Tam Dao town when it suddenly lost its brakes and overturned at Km19, National Highway 2B.
The identities of the 3 previous deaths include: Ms. Phan Hai T (born in 1984), Ngo Vu Minh N (born in 2022), Mai Phuong Th (born in 2016). The fourth case to die at the hospital on the evening of April 26 was Mr. Mai Van T (born in 1978), all residing in Thanh Mien district (Hai Duong).

The remaining victims, apart from some serious cases who have been transferred to lower-level hospitals, have basically stabilized their health, mainly with external injuries and injuries, not endangering their lives.
Treated at the hospital after the passenger bus overturning accident, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue said she was injured in her left hand and had to undergo surgery to reattach her tendon. According to Ms. Hue, she and her daughter, along with the company's employees, were returning to Hanoi from Tam Dao when they suddenly had an accident.
The 16 people on the bus were all from the same company in Thanh Mien district, Hai Duong. The convoy of vehicles departs from Thanh Mien at 1:30 p.m. on April 25 and starts from Tam Dao at 9:00 a.m. on April 26.

As one of the lucky ones who suffered minor scratches, Ms. Vu Thi Tho said that during the pass, when the passenger bus reached the curve, the driver pedalled the brakes and the vehicle complained of a jam.
The first two hours of congestion, the car only tilted, but at the third hour of congestion, the car overturned and changed direction for 3 rounds. Fortunately, the car crashed into the guardrail, otherwise everyone would have fallen into the ravine.
Currently, the cause of the accident is being investigated and clarified by Vinh Phuc Provincial Police.
Tam Dao Pass is located in Tam Dao town, Tam Dao district, Vinh Phuc province. This is one of the famous tourist areas in the Northern region located on the Tam Dao mountain range at an altitude of over 1000m above sea level.
From the foot of the mountain to the center of Tam Dao tourist area, about 14km long, there have been many serious traffic accidents, mostly when vehicles have gone down the pass.
5 years ago, at around 2:30 p.m. on April 26, 2020, at Km21, National Highway 2B, a traffic accident occurred between a car with license plate 24A-10036 and a motorbike, causing both vehicles to plunge into a 200m deep ravine.
The accident killed 4 people (3 people in the car, 1 person on a motorbike) and injured 1 person (sitting in the car).
