Hy Cuong commune, Phu Tho province was established on the basis of arranging and merging the entire natural area and population size of the communes: Thanh Dinh, Chu Hoa and Hy Cuong of Viet Tri city in the past.
Along with Nguyen Tat Thanh street, Ton Duc Thang street is one of the two main main roads of Hy Cuong commune, helping to connect the central area of old Viet Tri city with the Hung Temple historical relic area.
According to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper in the last days of July, the Ton Duc Thang road section passing through Hy Cuong commune currently has a wide asphalt paved road surface.
The road passes through many densely populated residential areas of Chu Hoa commune, old Thanh Dinh commune, sidewalks have not been upgraded and most of them do not have lighting (except for the section near the Hy Cuong Commune People's Committee area).

The project to renovate and upgrade sidewalks, green trees, lighting and auxiliary items of Ton Duc Thang street was approved by Hy Cuong Commune People's Committee from December 24, 2025, according to Decision No. 1255/QD-UBND.
The above project belongs to group C, with a total investment of 23 billion VND invested by the Hy Cuong Commune Project Management Board.
According to the reporter's investigation, on July 22, the Hy Cuong Commune Project Management Board issued a bidding invitation notice for Package No. 06: Construction of the project.
Package No. 06 was widely bid through the network, with a value of more than 19.5 billion VND from the state budget and mobilizing other legal capital sources.

In the near future, after the investor has a decision approving the contractor selection results, the winning bidder will deploy the construction of renovation and upgrading of sidewalks, green trees, lighting and auxiliary items of Ton Duc Thang street in Hy Cuong commune.
According to the technical requirements in the bidding documents, the road being constructed has a total length according to the current road of 3,382.55m, sidewalk area of 31,050.12m2.
Sidewalks will be designed on the basis of following the old road and adjacent fixed architectural works, sections passing through residential areas will be limited in increasing design elevation to avoid roads being too high compared to people's houses on both sides of the route.
On the route section, a new lighting system will be built including 2 lighting control cabinets and 125 lighting pole positions arranged on both sides of the sidewalk.

Regarding green trees, they will be planted on sidewalks, the distance between trees is 10m (locations without residential houses) or planted between two land plots, bricks, and urban green trees from 4m to 5m high.
In addition, the project will also renovate and repair some damaged items (sidewalk curbs, drainage systems...).
The time for the winning bidder to construct is 270 days.
According to the investor, the investment objective of the project is to complete traffic infrastructure, ensure synchronous, smooth and safe connection.
Along with that, meeting the travel and transportation needs of people and businesses; contributing to promoting socio-economic development, attracting investment and improving people's lives in the area.
