Phu Tho - The project to Stabilize concentrated population in disaster-stricken areas of Van Son commune, former Tan Lac district (now Van Son commune) has a total investment of nearly 26 billion VND.

Van Son commune, Phu Tho province was established on the basis of arranging and merging the entire natural area and population size of Ngo Luong, Quyet Chien and Van Son communes of Tan Lac district, former Hoa Binh province.

This is a mountainous commune, located at an altitude of 600 - 1,200m above sea level, mainly hilly terrain, weak soil and divided by many streams.

Van Son commune is assessed as an area at risk of unusual natural disasters such as landslides, flash floods, affecting people's lives and safety.

The Project to Stabilize concentrated population in disaster-stricken areas of Van Son commune, Tan Lac district (now Van Son commune, Phu Tho province) was approved by the old Tan Lac District People's Committee from May 30, 2025, according to Decision No. 1351/QD-UBND.

This is a project belonging to Group C, with a total investment of nearly 26 billion VND invested by the Economic Department of Van Son commune (under the People's Committee of Van Son commune).

According to the reporter's investigation, on July 10, the Economic Department of Van Son commune issued a bidding invitation notice for the package: Construction and relocation of power lines of the project.

The above bidding package was widely bid through the network, with a value of more than 15.4 billion VND from the central budget to implement the National Target Program for socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the period 2021 - 2025.

In the near future, after completing the contractor selection for the above-mentioned bidding package, the construction unit will deploy construction and installation of the project according to the scale, technical indicators and approved design solutions along with other related works.

Specifically, according to the technical requirements in the bidding documents, the contractor will level the ground to create a surface of 8 land plots with a total area of about 0.84ha. Construction of 3 embankment lines to block soil at the adjacent height difference points of the leveling plots, with a total length of 268.31m.

Regarding traffic, the project will build internal traffic roads including 4 routes, with lengths of 56.13m, 37.75m, 218.66m, 56.36m respectively; internal roads are asphalted, 3/4 routes have sidewalks, planted a total of 55 trees...

Along with that, the project will also construct items: Rainwater drainage; wastewater drainage; domestic water supply system; repair of spillway dams, water reservoirs; power supply and lighting systems.

The contract implementation period is 450 days.

According to the investor, the project's goal is to ensure the stability of residents concentrated in areas affected by natural disasters in Van Son commune. Creating a safe housing fund for 35 households living in Bach hamlet who are currently directly affected by the risk of landslides.

Along with that, the project is built to ensure synchronous connection of the project's technical infrastructure with the general technical infrastructure of the area, contributing to promoting socio-economic development of the locality.

In addition, the renovation and upgrading of the Bach hamlet earth dam is to ensure sufficient irrigation water for 5ha of cultivated land of the commune as well as improve and protect the ecological environment...
