On December 12, contractors are urgently constructing 3 component projects of the connecting route to Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway. Many workers are working hard to ensure the project's progress in the last days of 2025.
According to the records, the construction sites continuing the traffic route are carefully fenced off, with remote warnings for vehicles to grasp and change lanes appropriately. Items such as roadbed and culvert are being implemented synchronously; many elevated sections are also being urgently constructed.
After many months of implementation, the route connecting to Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway is gradually taking shape. Previously, the component projects of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway connecting route, nearly 16.4 km long with a total investment of nearly VND13,900 billion, were organized by the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province (formerly) to start construction at the end of 2024 and in 2025.
Of which, the section from Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway intersection and National Highway 56 to Vung Van roundabout (Long Dien commune) is over 6.7 km long, with a total investment of over VND 6,700 billion; the section from Vung Van to the coastal road DT994 (near Cua Lap bridge) is over 6.8 km long, with a total investment of nearly VND 5,200 billion; the remaining section from near Cua Lap bridge to the roundabout of the intersection of routes 2/9 and 3/2 (also known as Vung Tau main road) is nearly 2.9 km long, with a total investment of nearly VND 2,000 billion.

According to the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Traffic and Civil Project Management Board (HCMC) - the project investor - there are currently nearly 700 workers on the entire route under construction at component projects; with the goal of striving to complete in the fourth quarter of 2026.
After completion and putting the route into use, it will create a synchronous traffic network, connecting with Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway, National Highway 56, National Highway 55, reducing pressure on National Highway 51 which has been overloaded for many years.
This is a key strategic route, not only serving the exploitation of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway but also connecting and opening up new development space for urban areas, industry, seaports and marine tourism. The project was also considered a lever for infrastructure in the Ba Ria - Vung Tau area in the past, especially for the tourism industry. The complete connection axis will increase the attractiveness of Vung Tau and neighboring coastal urban areas.
With smooth traffic, short and safe travel time will contribute to attracting and increasing the number of tourists, promoting further tourism development in the eastern area of Ho Chi Minh City.
