Vocational training, inspiring the will to start a business in difficult areas

LAM HỒNG |

Dak Lak - In addition to vocational training, the Lak district government actively encourages people to increase production and business to escape poverty.

Improve people's skills

Lak district has a low economic starting point, with the majority of poor households being ethnic minorities in mountainous and rural areas.

Over the years, the Party Committee and district government have constantly strived, worried and implemented solutions to improve the lives of local people.

According to the assessment of the People's Committee of Lak district, the locality has integrated and synchronized national target programs including: Supporting people to borrow capital from the Social Policy Bank to develop production, implementing vocational training and agricultural extension policies, and supporting programs on education, health care and housing...

From a poor, barren land where people mainly relied on small-scale, fragmented agricultural production and often suffered from crop failures and famine, Lak district has gradually improved the situation. The situation of having to distribute rice to relieve hunger every year has gradually been reduced.

Nowadays, the lives of ethnic minorities in Lak have improved a lot. Farmers are instructed in techniques of taking care of plants and growing crops effectively. Workers are trained in technical, mechanical, construction and many other fields.

Every year, hundreds of workers in Lak district are trained and granted certificates. During the day, people go to the fields to produce coffee and other crops.

At night, teachers go to village and commune halls to distribute materials. They instruct people on how to repair generators and lawn mowers, develop livestock and grow crops.

Many teachers hold hands and guide workers to practice vaccinating animals, find and buy pesticides to prevent pests, and increase productivity of fruit and vegetable gardens...

Vocational training according to people's needs

Mr. Nguyen Van Chien - Head of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Lak district - shared: "Not only teaching a profession, cadres, Party members and teachers also encourage, motivate and help people change their awareness, have the will to do business and produce to create wealth for society".

According to the assessment of the People's Committee of Lak district, once having vocational skills and information to find job opportunities, workers will have an easier time on the path to building a prosperous and happy life for themselves and their families.

Officials and Party members of Lak district are happy that the employment rate is increasing. Young people earn a living from repairing tractors and farm workers, women work in restaurants and eateries, farmers have a good harvest, coffee prices are increasing and the livestock population is also growing.

According to the People's Committee of Lak district, in 2025, the locality will continue to have solutions to improve the material and spiritual life of people in the whole district. In particular, narrowing the gap in living conditions between urban and rural areas, remote areas, ethnic minority areas...

The district will focus on providing good solutions for the poor of working age who are in need of free vocational training and stable job referrals. Workers who want to export labor will be supported with preferential loans from banks to have capital to develop production and business...
