On January 4, the Department of Transport of Quang Binh province said that up to now, the site clearance work for the North-South expressway through the province is 50m.
This un-cleared area is located in Le Thuy district (Quang Binh province). According to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Le Thuy district, it is expected that by January 10, the last 50m of this area will be cleared. Currently, the households have agreed to hand it over themselves.
To meet the deadline before April 30, 2025, investors and contractors are mobilizing machinery for construction.

The Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board (Ministry of Transport), the construction unit of the Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway, said that it is working from morning to night to keep up with the schedule.
Contractors organized 75 construction teams; mobilized about 635 pieces of equipment and machinery of all kinds; total number of officers, engineers and workers: 1,455 people.
The output realized to date has reached more than 2,693.81 billion/2,391.06 billion VND, reaching about 112.7% of the planned value (according to the initial construction schedule established in February 2023).
Cumulative output to date is more than 3,924.59 billion/5,548.55 billion VND, reaching about 70.7% of contract value, basically following the schedule.
Every day, the unit works 3 shifts from morning to night. At noon, workers take a break to eat and rest, then continue their work on the road.
Contractors are making the most of the time to complete the progress as assigned by the Prime Minister.
Regarding the additional area of 2 rest stops in Quang Trach district of 7.05 hectares and Dong Hoi city of 3.12 hectares, the localities are publicizing plans to compensate and support land clearance for the people. Regarding construction materials, the reserves of material mines in the province are sufficient for the project's construction needs. Quang Binh province also coordinated with the investor to select 48 dumping sites.
Project Management Board 6 said that it is currently bidding to find an investor for this rest stop. Once the site is handed over and an investor is selected, the construction unit will begin construction. Regarding progress, it is expected to be completed by the end of 2025, and by April 30, 2025, there will be a temporary rest stop for people.
