The project to build the landscape behind Vo Nguyen Giap Square has a total investment of 200 billion VND. Of which, the budget of Thai Nguyen province provided more than 32 billion VND, the rest from the budget of Thai Nguyen city. Construction started in September 2024, and is expected to be completed and put into use in 2026.
The project is deployed on an area of about 25,000m2, including items such as roads, sports fields, parking lots, service works and green tree systems, miniatures.
On February 14, the reporter noted that the project is in the stage of site clearance, and after completion, other auxiliary items will be constructed.
At the construction site, many machines and mechanical vehicles are operating, workers are urgently constructing leveling items to build internal traffic roads. Many important items are being accelerated, gradually shaping a new look for the area.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa (Trung Vuong ward, Thai Nguyen city) shared that she really hopes the project will be completed soon so that the city will have more green space, creating a highlight for the central area.
According to Ms. Hoa, Vo Nguyen Giap Square is a place where many people gather every morning and evening, but currently the space for entertainment and exercise activities is limited.
Similarly, Mr. Tran Van Long (Hoang Van Thu ward, Thai Nguyen city) hopes that the project will create more public living space, helping people have a place to play and interact.
Mr. Long said that in recent years, Thai Nguyen City has made many changes to the urban landscape, but still needs more public areas with many trees to create a playground for people.
"I hope that the project will be completed so that people, especially children, will soon have more places to live and play outdoors, contributing to improving the quality of life," Mr. Long added.
Information from the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen City, the project is being accelerated, the construction volume has now been completed more than 20%. Currently, there are 57 households that have not yet handed over the site, and it is expected to be completed in 2025, striving to put the project into use ahead of schedule.
