Proposal to add 875 billion VND to resolve policies for 835 officials on leave in An Giang

An Giang - The province has resolved the regime and policies for 640 cadres, civil servants and public employees who have quit their jobs with a total implementation cost of 744 billion VND.

According to the Department of Finance of An Giang province, as of August 5, 2025, the total number of dossiers of subjects eligible to pay the regime and policies according to Decree No. 178/2024/ND CP and Decree No. 67/2025/ND-CP (abbreviated as Decree 2) of the Government sent by the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee and the Department of Home Affairs for coordination and comments to the Department of Finance is 2,396 cases. Of which, the province has resolved policies and regimes for 640 cases with a total implementation cost of 744 billion VND.

The total remaining records are 1,756 cases, including: Party block 312 cases, government block 1,444 cases. The Department of Finance of An Giang province has submitted to the Provincial People's Committee a proposal to supplement funding for 835 cases, with a total amount of 875 billion VND.

The provincial Department of Home Affairs also said that as of June 30, 2025, the Department of Home Affairs has coordinated with the Department of Finance to advise the Provincial People's Committee to approve 1,488 cases of resignation according to the provisions of the 2 Decrees. Of which, there are 940 cases of early retirement, 548 cases of immediate termination of employment.

The Department of Home Affairs also said that in August 2025, it coordinated with the Department of Finance to assess 405 cases of early retirement and termination of employment according to the provisions of 2 Decrees. After completing the list and cost estimate, the Department of Home Affairs will synthesize and submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval according to regulations.

Provincial departments, branches, People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones review cases of resignation according to Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP (amended and supplemented in Decree No. 67/2025/ND-CP) and prepare documents to send to the Department of Home Affairs and the Department of Finance. Therefore, as of August 11, 2025, the Department of Home Affairs has received 445 dossiers, of which 193 were at the provincial level; 252 were at the commune level.

In order to achieve good results in advising on policies and regimes for cadres, civil servants and public employees, the Department of Home Affairs proposed that the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee establish a Working Group to assist the Provincial People's Committee in reviewing, advising, assessing subjects, and estimating funding for implementing policies and regimes for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers according to the above 2 Decrees. Synthesize, report implementation results, propose solutions for implementation, and implement to competent authorities according to regulations.

The Department of Home Affairs will review cases that are waiting for the competent authority to review and approve early retirement, quit their jobs but have to perform the task of handling complex and sensitive tasks... The Department of Finance will coordinate with the Department of Finance to propose to the Provincial People's Committee to adjust the time for some of the above cases, the Department of Finance will advise the competent authority to provide funding for the unit to pay the regime and policies to the subjects according to regulations.
