An Giang provides the highest support of 5 million VND/month in 2 years for cadres after provincial merger

An Giang - Cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers after the arrangement of administrative units in the province are supported with a total of 5 million VND/month.

On July 29, the People's Council of An Giang province voted to approve the draft resolution regulating the support regime for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers after the arrangement of administrative units in An Giang province.

This Resolution stipulates the regime for supporting travel costs, living expenses, and accommodation for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers after the arrangement of administrative units in An Giang and Kien Giang provinces. The Resolution takes effect from August 1, 2025.

Applicable subjects Cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers working in provincial-level agencies and units have changed their workplace from the old An Giang provincial administrative center to the new An Giang provincial administrative center and vice versa. Specifically, each person is supported with 2 million VND per month for travel expenses, 1.5 million VND for living expenses, and 1.5 million VND for accommodation.

In case cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers have been arranged with shuttle buses or public housing according to the prescribed standards, they will not be supported according to Point a or Point c, Clause 1 of this Article.

The support regime for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers is implemented from the date of the actual change of workplace from the old An Giang provincial administrative center to the new An Giang provincial administrative center and vice versa; under the contract form and paid monthly with current salary.

Public service units that self-insure regular and investment expenditures and public service units that self-insure regular expenditures are applied to support civil servants and employees working at units that are higher or lower according to the unit's financial capacity and must be specifically regulated in the unit's internal spending regulations.

The funding source for implementation is guaranteed by the local budget according to the current budget decentralization. Public service units self-guarantee regular and investment expenditures, public service units self-guarantee self-balanced regular expenditures, using the unit's financial resources to support civil servants and employees working at the units.

According to the submission to the Provincial People's Committee, after merging Kien Giang province and An Giang province into An Giang province (new), a total of 2,228 cadres, civil servants and public employees registered for housing needs. Of which, 862 cases registered to be arranged with public housing and 1,366 cases had a need to rent a house.

Regarding the need to arrange means of transportation, a total of 1,662 cadres, civil servants and public employees have registered, the rest are self-sufficient in means of transportation.

For civil servants and public employees of the old Kien Giang Provincial Political School, the number of people expected to transfer to work at the old Ton Duc Thang Political School of An Giang province is 39.

The issuance of this Resolution aims to encourage and motivate the spirit, stabilize ideology, living conditions, and improve their lives to ensure conditions for them to work with peace of mind after the new administrative unit is reorganized.
