On July 29, the An Giang Provincial People's Council held its second session (regular session in mid-2025).
The meeting approved a draft resolution regulating the support regime for cadres, civil servants, and public employees; part-time workers in communes and hamlets; people directly participating in work in hamlets; hamlet captains; members of the Security and Order Protection Team working in Tho Chau Special Zone, An Giang province.
The support level of 25% of current salary is for cadres and civil servants holding the following positions: Secretary, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Chairman, Vice Chairman of the People's Council; Chairman, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee; civil servants holding leadership and management positions.
The support level of 30% of current salary is for cadres not specified in Clause 1 of this Article and civil servants and public employees working in special zones.
The current support level of 70% of the monthly allowance is for part-time workers in the hamlet, people directly participating in work in the hamlet.
The support level of 80% of the current monthly allowance is for non-professional workers in communes; hamlet captains; members of the Security and Order Protection Team.
The funding source for implementation is guaranteed by the local budget according to the current budget decentralization.
Tho Chau is an island border commune located in the southwest of the country, with a total natural area of 13.98 km2; with 8 islands; about 100km from Phu Quoc; about 220km from Rach Gia. The current permanent population of the commune is 1,832 people with 508 households. Tho Chau commune has 1 hamlet, 8 self-managed People's Groups.
According to the People's Committee of An Giang province, in order to encourage and motivate the lives of cadres and civil servants in Tho Chau, it is necessary to issue a policy regulating this support regime, thereby demonstrating the state's concern for cadres and civil servants in general working in island and border communes.
