Accordingly, the Standing Committees of the two provinces agreed to establish the Party Committee of Bac Ninh province (new) under the Central Government, with more than 153,400 Party members and 103 Party Committees under the Provincial Party Committee.
At the same time, the two provinces merged specialized agencies, service advisory agencies, public service units under the Provincial Party Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and member organizations, the National Assembly Delegation, People's Council delegates, and specialized agencies under the People's Committee with similar functions and tasks.
Working groups of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee 2 provincial Party Committee urgently perform the assigned tasks. Previously, as Lao Dong reported, after collecting opinions and receiving high consensus and agreement from the people, the Project to reorganize Bac Ninh province and Bac Giang province to establish Bac Ninh province is being submitted to the Government.
According to the Project, the two provinces of Bac Ninh - Bac Giang will merge and have a new name, Bac Ninh province, the administrative center will be located in the current Bac Giang city. The new Bac Ninh province will have a total of 99 communes and wards; population of 3,619,433 people.
