As reported by Lao Dong, after collecting opinions and receiving high consensus and agreement from the people, the Project to reorganize Bac Ninh province and Bac Giang province to establish Bac Ninh province is being submitted to the Government.
According to the Project, the two provinces of Bac Ninh - Bac Giang will merge and have a new name, Bac Ninh province, the administrative center will be located in the current Bac Giang city. The new Bac Ninh province will have a total of 99 communes and wards; population of 3,619,433 people.
The project also clearly states the list of public service units of the (new) Bac Ninh province after the merger, including:
First, change the name of the Bac Giang Province Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board to the Bac Ninh Province Civil and Urban Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 1.
At the same time, the Provincial People's Committee is requested to assign the Bac Ninh Province No. 1 Civil and Urban Construction Investment Project Management Board to receive and manage 10 existing district-level construction investment project management boards of Bac Giang province when they end district-level operations.
Second is to change the name of the Bac Ninh Province Civil and Urban Construction Investment Project Management Board to the Bac Ninh Province Civil and Urban Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 2 and receive and manage 8 existing district-level construction investment project management boards of Bac Ninh province when they end district-level operations.
The third is to change the name of the Bac Giang Province Traffic and Agricultural Construction Investment Project Management Board to the Bac Ninh Province Traffic and Agricultural Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 1.
Fourth is to change the name of the Bac Ninh Province Traffic and Agricultural Construction Investment Project Management Board to the Bac Ninh Province Traffic and Agricultural Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 2.
The fifth is to merge the Radio and Television Stations of the two provinces, and at the same time merge with the agencies of Bac Giang Newspaper and Bac Ninh Newspaper into one unit (this content has its own project).
On June 6, the Bac Giang Province Land Fund Development Center changed its name to the Bac Ninh Province Land Fund Development Center and received the Land Fund Development Center from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Bac Ninh Province.
At the same time, receive and manage 10 existing district-level land fund development centers of Bac Giang province and 2 existing district-level land fund development centers of Bac Ninh province.
On the 7th, keep the same six colleges under the current Provincial People's Committee in Bac Giang and Bac Ninh provinces, including:
