On February 13, leaders of the Department of Construction of Khanh Hoa province said that after coordinating to inspect the entire route, functional agencies determined that many landslide points on Khanh Le pass of National Highway 27C have been basically repaired by the road maintenance unit. The roadbed and surface are sufficient to organize two-way traffic.
However, there are still some serious landslide locations that are being repaired and reinforced. Especially at night, the pass area often experiences heavy rain and fog, reducing visibility and posing a potential risk of traffic unsafety.
On that basis, the Department of Construction of Khanh Hoa province agreed to allow two-way traffic through Khanh Le Pass from 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily, applying from February 13.
In addition to the above time (from 6 pm to 5 am the next morning), vehicles are advised to actively choose to travel other suitable routes when traveling between Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong.
The Department of Construction of Khanh Hoa province also requested the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province to widely inform transport units, businesses and people to proactively plan their travel.
At the same time, coordinate with functional forces to organize patrols and inspections to ensure that vehicles comply with traffic hours according to regulations.
Currently, the work of repairing, solidifying and completing the structure of works at many locations on the pass is still being implemented.
Previously, after the flood in November 2025, about 100 landslide points appeared on the entire Khanh Le pass, of which more than 50 points were completely blocked.
The maintenance unit has mobilized forces and vehicles to break rocks and clear tens of thousands of cubic meters of soil and rocks spilled onto the road surface.
On December 23, 2025, the Department of Construction of Khanh Hoa province once allowed conditional traffic through Khanh Le Pass for vehicles under 5 tons and passenger cars from 16 seats or less during the time frame from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
