On the night of August 24, in Na Mi village, leaders of Muong Tap commune (Nghe An province) along with police, militia, and commune officials knocked on every door, encouraged people to gather their belongings, and urgently move. In a short time, 17 households with 76 people were safely evacuated in a short time.
The concentrated shelters are fully prepared with food, provisions, drinking water, blankets and essential items. Children and the elderly are provided with separate rest areas, and medical staff are on duty to take care of their health when needed.

In addition to relocation, Muong Tap commune has increased propaganda on loudspeakers, social networks and directly to each village, reminding people not to go to rivers and streams, not to fish, and limit travel when the storm makes landfall. All households have signed a commitment to comply with regulations and do not return home without instructions.
At the same time, many other villages of Muong tip commune were also inspected, had their houses tied up, and had their works reinforced. Schools, headquarters, and cultural houses have become evacuation focuses. With the motto "4 on-site", militia, police, and medical forces are on duty 24/7, ready for rescue when situations arise.
Storm prevention work No. 5 in Muong Tip not only demonstrates the proactiveness and determination of the grassroots government, but also shows the spirit of solidarity between the army and people in protecting lives and property against natural disasters.
In the face of an emergency situation, storm No. 5 with terrible strength is about to make landfall, Nghe An province has activated all its response forces.
According to Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung, the locality has planned to relocate more than 10,000 households to safe places.
