Quang Ngai - The government and people are ready to prevent storm No. 5, from relocating cages, stocking food to preparing emergency rescue vehicles.

Mr. Vo Anh Tung - Deputy Head of the Irrigation Department - said that as of 10:30 a.m. on August 24, 2025, the number of Quang Ngai boats operating in the sea areas is 601 boat/4,699 workers. All ships and boats above have received information about the developments and direction of storm No. 5.

The Provincial People's Committee has issued a telegram requesting departments, branches and localities to proactively respond to storm No. 5 and landslides and flash floods. The People's Committees of coastal communes and wards, Ly Son Special Zone and the Provincial Border Guard Command continue to monitor the developments of storm No. 5; maintain communication, notify vehicle owners of the location and direction of storm No. 5 to proactively prevent it.

At noon on August 24, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the Quang Ngai Inland Waterway and Port Management Board said that, implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the Port Management Board and Inland Waterway and Port Management Board have prepared plans to bring passengers in Ly Son Special Zone safely to shore before 12: 45 on August 24, after which all passenger and cargo transport vehicles on the Sa Ky - Ly Son Special Zone route and vice versa will be temporarily suspended.

At noon on August 24, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Van Huy - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ly Son Special Zone - said that the authorities are urgently implementing measures to prevent storm No. 5. Maintain on-duty shifts according to the "4 on-site" motto. The current weather in Ly Son Special Zone has not seen any heavy rain or wind. However, the authorities are still ready with rescue vehicles when situations arise.

The authorities and people of Ly Son Special Zone will also proactively prepare necessities for use if Ly Son Special Zone is isolated from the mainland.
