On March 7, Ea Kly Commune Police (Dak Lak) said that they had received a complaint and were verifying the case of a man reporting being scooped up stolen field land in the area.
Previously, the family of Mr. Nguyen Chinh Ngu (36 years old, residing in Dak Lak) sent a petition to the Ea Kly Commune Police reflecting that the family's land plot was stolen by strangers about 3,000m2.
According to the presentation, Mr. Ngu's family has a plot of land of about 4,000m2 in hamlet 9, Ea Kly commune, due to working far away, the family does not have conditions to cultivate. Recently, when returning to visit the land, Mr. Ngu discovered that the plot of land had been dug deep and turned into a pond.
Currently, his family lives in another commune in the province, about 60km from Ea Kly commune, so it is not possible to determine when the soil was stolen.
Mr. Nguyen Hai Sam - Vice Chairman of Ea Kly Commune People's Committee said that the locality has received the petition and directed the commune police to investigate and clarify the case. According to initial assessments, the excavation may occur before June 2025.
However, due to the long time, many traces have been erased; the area near the scene is a field, there are no security cameras, so verification and collection of evidence are difficult. Currently, the police are continuing to clarify.
