The Tran Hung Dao Forest National Historical Site is the place that marks the birth of the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army, the predecessor of the Vietnam People's Army. This place has just been renovated and repaired many items, ready to welcome tourists and delegations to visit on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024).
In recent days, Provincial Road 216 connecting National Highway 3 through Hoa Tham Commune to Tran Hung Dao Forest has been urgently upgraded and resurfaced by the Ministry of National Defense. Previously, Provincial Road 202 from Nguyen Binh Town to the relic site was also completed and upgraded, ensuring convenient traffic.
On December 7, the actual record at the relic site, the yard area and the relief depicting the founding of the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army (the predecessor of the Vietnam People's Army) were renovated and renewed. The temple of General Vo Nguyen Giap was also renovated, ensuring aesthetics and solemnity.
In particular, the living area of 34 soldiers was renovated to be as close to the original as possible, with additional exhibits added to create a lively space.
The management representative at the relic site shared: "We have completed all preparations, from displaying artifacts, renovating items after the storm to ensuring the best conditions. All staff are ready, with the highest sense of responsibility."
Tran Hung Dao Forest is not only a historical relic, but also a destination with great cultural and spiritual value, helping the younger generation understand more deeply the patriotic tradition and indomitable will of our army and people.
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, this will be an opportunity for everyone to look back on the glorious journey of the people's armed forces, as well as pay tribute to previous generations who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
