Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 1647/QD-UBND on transferring assets of road traffic infrastructure, assigning many sections on national highways to the People's Committees of 10 communes to directly manage and exploit.
According to the decision, the localities receiving transport infrastructure assets include: Muong Mun, Pa Ham, Si Pa Phin, Muong Cha, Muong Toong, Muong Nhe, Muong Pon, Na Son, Na Tau and Muong Phang.
On National Highway 6, the Provincial People's Committee transferred the section from Km411+250 to Km412+000 and the section from Km418+220 to Km418+300 to Muong Mun Commune People's Committee for management. For Pa Ham commune, the locality receives the section from Km441+415 to Km442+330.
On National Highway 4H and branches 4H1, 4H2, Si Pa Phin commune is assigned to manage sections Km38+300 - Km38+550, Km41+785 - Km42+255 and Km47+600 - Km47+800.
Muong Cha commune receives the section Km54+340 - Km54+500; Muong Toong commune receives the section Km135+500 - Km135+730; Muong Nhe commune is transferred the section from Km2+400 to Km2+530.
For National Highway 12, Muong Pon Commune People's Committee takes over the management of sections Km155+000 - Km155+330, Km155+700 - Km156+000 and Km164+350 - Km165+035. Na Son Commune takes over the section Km234+300 - Km234+370.
On National Highway 279B, Na Tau commune is assigned to manage the sections Km0+000 - Km0+400 and Km1+600 - Km2+420. Muong Phang commune receives the sections Km6+310 - Km6+600, Km7+720 - Km8+100 and Km8+700 - Km9+600.
The transfer of assets of road traffic infrastructure is aimed at decentralizing management and exploitation of road sections suitable to the area.
This is also considered a step to concretize the policy of decentralization and delegation of power in traffic infrastructure management, creating conditions for local authorities to be more proactive in managing, maintaining and protecting roads in the area.
