Dien Bien discovers the body of a drowned child after nearly 2 days of searching

Dien Bien - After nearly 2 days of searching efforts, functional forces have found the body of a child who drowned on the Ma River.

On March 11, the Fire and Rescue Police Department (PCCC&CNCH), Dien Bien Provincial Police said that they had found the body of a child who drowned on the Ma River, in Muong Luan commune.

Previously, at 4:08 pm on March 9, the Fire and Rescue Police Department received a report about a person drowning in the Ma River area, belonging to Pa Hia village, Muong Luan commune. The victim was identified as L.T. T. (born 2015), residing in Na Ly village, Muong Luan commune.

Immediately after receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police Department dispatched 3 specialized vehicles and 20 officers and soldiers to the scene to organize the search, and at the same time coordinated with local authorities and support forces.

By 6 am on March 11, functional forces had found the victim's body about 300m from the accident site. After that, the victim's body was handed over to the family for funeral arrangements according to customs.
