Hanoi City Police organized a drill on ensuring traffic order and safety to serve the Opening Ceremony of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime.

On October 23, Colonel Tran Dinh Nghia - Head of the Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police - directly commanded the force to deploy drills on plans to ensure traffic order and safety (TTATGT) for this special event.

According to Colonel Tran Dinh Nghia, this is the first time Vietnam has been selected by the United Nations to host the Opening Ceremony of a global international treaty, thereby affirming Vietnam's prestige and increasingly high position in the international arena.

Recognizing the significance and importance of the event, the Hanoi Traffic Police Department has developed and implemented a comprehensive plan, with the highest goal of ensuring absolute safety for the activities of Party and State leaders, international delegations and delegates attending. At the same time, the traffic police will maintain order, safety and smooth traffic throughout the capital.

Following the direction of Hanoi City Police, the Traffic Police Department mobilized maximum forces, vehicles and technical equipment, closely coordinated with functional units to synchronously deploy measures to ensure absolute safety for the event.

In addition to the task of welcoming and leading delegations and senior leaders, the Traffic Police force increased their presence at key intersections, proactively grasped the situation, diverted traffic - regulated traffic, determined not to let congestion occur, especially during rush hour and on routes serving the signing ceremony.

At the same time, working groups have stepped up patrols, mobile control and surveillance through the camera system to promptly detect and strictly handle violations of traffic safety and order such as: stopping and parking in violation of regulations; using alcohol while driving; not obeying traffic lights; transporting bulky goods; not wearing helmets... to maintain order and smooth traffic safety in the entire area.

According to the plan, the Opening Ceremony of the Hanoi Convention will take place from October 25 to 26, 2025 at the National Convention Center (Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi), with the participation of about 40 national heads of state and international organizations.

The Traffic Police Department recommends that traffic participants strictly follow the instructions of the authorities, especially giving priority routes to vehicles with signals; thereby contributing to ensuring safety and smoothness for the operation of the Convention Opening Ceremony and the travel needs of the people of the Capital.
