As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, in the old Phu Binh District (Thai Nguyen), there are 2 traffic projects including the route connecting National Highway 37 with Provincial Road 269B and Kieu Chinh Bridge, although completed, but not yet operated effectively.
The road project connecting National Highway 37 with Provincial Road 269B is invested by the Provincial Traffic and Agricultural Construction Investment Project Management Board.
The project has a total capital of more than 220 billion VND, to be completed from July 2025 and is considered a key project of the locality.
Meanwhile, the Kieu Politic bridge worth 12 billion VND invested by Phu Binh District People's Committee has also been completed since 2021, and has been accepted to meet technical standards, but one end of the bridge still does not have a connecting approach road.
Both projects are "waiting" because the common connecting section is stuck because the Ngoc Xuan Residential Area Project has not been implemented.
According to Lao Dong Newspaper's reporter in mid-October 2025, the area under the Ngoc Xuan Residential Area Project is still an empty area, overgrown with grass.
This land is located between the newly completed road and Kieu Chinh bridge, and has not been leveled or has no infrastructure, causing the two projects to be separated.
Talking with reporters, a leader of the People's Committee of Phu Binh commune (formerly in Phu Binh district) confirmed that the two traffic projects above cannot be connected due to problems related to the site clearance of the Ngoc Xuan Residential Area project.
This person said that when the Ngoc Xuan Residential Area project was implemented, there were about 28 households in the affected area.
"By October 22, the last household had received compensation and completed the site clearance after a waiting period," informed the People's Committee of Phu Binh commune.
Currently, the locality is reviewing the dossier and submitting it to the competent authority for consideration to implement the next steps, including auctioning land use rights and selecting a unit to implement the Ngoc Xuan Residential Area project.
When the procedures are completed, the project will be implemented and completed soon, helping to connect Kieu Chinh bridge and the newly built road, ending the unfinished situation in the past.
The opening and connection of these two projects will reduce waste of investment resources and improve transport infrastructure for the southern area of Thai Nguyen province.
