As a key project of Phu Binh district (now Phu Binh commune), the route connecting National Highway (QL) 37 with Provincial Road (DT) 269B was expected to create momentum for the development of the southern area of Thai Nguyen province.
The project has a total investment of more than 220 billion VND, invested by the Provincial Traffic and Agricultural Construction Investment Project Management Board, to be completed from July 2025.

According to Lao Dong Newspaper's reporter in mid-October 2025, the road ended in Kieu Chinh hamlet, in front of which were rice fields, overgrown with weeds, no connecting roads or connecting infrastructure.
Right next to it, the Kieu Triet bridge worth about 12 billion VND, invested by the People's Committee of the old Phu Binh district, completed in 2021, was also abandoned because one end of the bridge did not have a connecting road.
Local people expressed regret that the hundreds of billions of VND road has not promoted its value, while the demand for traffic connecting neighboring hamlets and communes is still very large, especially during the rainy and stormy season.

The delay in connecting projects is causing investment resources to be wasted, while reducing the exploitation efficiency of completed projects.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen - Deputy Director of the Provincial Traffic and Agricultural Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project was assigned to construct the section from DT.269B to Kieu Chinh hamlet and has been completed.
The unconnected section is under the management of the People's Committee of Phu Binh district (old), and has not been implemented yet, so the road is interrupted.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Kieu - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thai Nguyen 2 Traffic Construction Joint Stock Company, the Kieu Chinh bridge construction unit affirmed that the project was completed on schedule, with technical guarantees and had been handed over since 2024.
However, it is not possible to exploit it yet because there is no connecting road at the bridgehead, which is the reason why the project is abandoned.

According to Mr. Nguyen Hong Xung - Deputy Chief of Office of Phu Binh Commune People's Committee, the connection of National Highway 37 with DT.269B was interrupted because a section of the route overlaps with the scope of Ngoc Xuan Residential Area Project.
This project was previously invested by the People's Committee of Phu Binh district (old), but has not been implemented, so the connection between the two routes is still rice fields.
The Phu Binh commune government is coordinating to propagate and mobilize households to promptly hand over the site for the construction of the remaining part of the project.
