On October 24, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area No. 1 (Department of Fire Prevention and Rescue Police, Quang Tri Provincial Police) said that the unit had just extinguished the fire at the house of Mr. N.P.H (born in 1980, residing in Quarter 2, Nam Dong Ha Ward).
Previously, at 11:18 a.m. the same day, the unit received a fire report and immediately mobilized forces and vehicles to the scene. After about 15 minutes, the fire was controlled and not allowed to spread to the surrounding area.
At the scene, many properties and household items were burned down. Mr. H said that his son was charging his phone in the attic when the device suddenly exploded, causing a big fire.
According to the commander of the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team No. 1, the situation of phones exploding while charging has happened before, people need to be very vigilant, should not charge at the same time as use and avoid leaving them near flammable materials.
