On June 13, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, the leader of the People's Committee of Co Le town (Truc Ninh district, Nam Dinh province) confirmed that the section of the canal near the Vo Tinh bridge area in the town had just experienced fish dying on the water surface.
"This morning (September 13), as soon as we received information from the people, the local authorities sent officers to directly inspect the area and recorded the phenomenon of fish dying on the water surface but there were not many left.
The dead fish are mostly reef fish, we are checking the entire canal system in the area, and any area with dead fish will be collected for timely treatment, not to pollute the environment. Maybe due to the erratic weather in the past few days, fish have died," said the leader of the People's Committee of Co Le town.
Faced with the above situation, many people expressed concern about whether the canal water source is polluted or not, why does it cause fish to die unusually like that.
