From March 1, 2025, the issuance and exchange of driving licenses (GPLX) will be transferred from the Ministry of Transport to the Ministry of Public Security.
It is noted that in Dak Nong province in the first days of implementation, the issuance and transfer process took place smoothly, the procedures were quick, and people were enthusiastically guided.
At the Dak Nong Provincial Police Department's Administrative Procedure Results Receiving and Returning Department, from early morning, many people were present to complete the procedures for granting and exchanging driving licenses.
The Road Mechanical driving license testing, issuance and exchange team (Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police) is also on duty to guide and support the completion of the dossier.
Mr. Bui Xuan He, Dak Buk So commune, Tuy Duc district shared: "At first, I thought that when I transferred to the Traffic Police, the procedures would be more complicated. But when I arrived here, I was enthusiastically guided, the steps were quick, no inconvenience, no need to wait long. I and many people are very satisfied".
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Trinh, residing in Nghia Thanh ward, Gia Nghia city, also expressed his satisfaction when the first time issuing and exchanging driving licenses at the new facility.
"When I was at home, I was quite hesitant, not knowing if I had to wait long due to the large crowd or not. But when I arrived here, I was enthusiastically guided by the staff, and all procedures took place quickly. In particular, I was also instructed on how to issue and renew driving licenses online, making the process more smooth," Mr. Trinh shared.
Lieutenant Colonel Pham Quoc Lap, Head of the Traffic Police Department of Dak Nong Provincial Police, said: "As soon as receiving the assignment, the unit directed the Road Mechanical License Assessment and licensing Team to quickly stabilize the organization and implementation of scientific and effective work, ensuring continuous operations, without affecting people and businesses".
According to the Traffic Police Department, after completing the procedures and paying the fees according to regulations, people will receive an appointment to return their driving license.
Within three working days, electronic data on driving licenses will be updated on the Traffic Police Department's search page at https://gplx.csgt.bocongan.gov.vn and the VNeID application for people to easily use.
