The People's Committee of Dong Hai Ward has organized a dialogue meeting with households with aquaculture ponds that have not received compensation and support when the state reclaims land to serve the construction of a solid waste treatment plant using waste incineration technology to generate electricity in Dinh Vu ( Waste-to-energy plant).
Mr. Dinh Minh Tam - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Ward People's Committee - emphasized that the project to build a waste-to-energy plant in Dinh Vu is a key project of great significance to the socio-economic development of the locality. At the same time, it resolved the long-standing petitions of the people related to environmental issues arising from the Trang Cat landfill. Accelerating the site clearance progress for project implementation is very urgent.
At the dialogue, the households present requested to be provided with the previously approved compensation and support plan for consideration and as a basis for dialogue.
The representative of the ward People's Committee affirmed that the decisions on compensation and support had previously been sent to households. However, at the dialogue, the Ward People's Committee once again provided decisions approving compensation and support plans for households (Decision No. 2200/QD-UBND dated September 21, 2005 of the City People's Committee; Decisions No. 99/QD-UBND dated February 2, 2009 and No. 210/QD-UBND dated March 13, 2009 of the old Hai An District People's Committee).
If households have a written response, send it to the Ward People's Committee before 12:00 on August 4 regarding the receipt of compensation, support, and handover of the site. Within the above time, if the households do not comply with the receipt of money and handover of the site, the People's Committee of the ward will report to the competent authorities to consider canceling or stopping the implementation of decisions related to compensation for the households and proceeding to reclaim land due to expiration of land use and not being extended according to the provisions of law.
